Sponsor an instrument in the Red Violin Program and follow the “life” of the violin as it journeys from student to student.
The Red Violin Program was founded in 2008 to provide string instruments to students in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Young Strings Organization through the Innovators TM of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League (DSOL).
Children in the Young Strings program are provided with the sponsored instrument and receive lessons and performance opportunities. The Young Strings program of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra assists over 150 minority students from the Dallas area metroplex. Sponsorships are currently for two years, beginning from the date of the sponsorship. A one-time payment is made, and benefits continue throughout the duration of two years. Sponsor benefits include a listing of the sponsor’s name in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Playbill, naming rights of the violin (for example, “The Laura B. Park Violin”), and semi-annual reports including a biography of the current student as well as a history of the violin and former students. Sponsors will receive the Young Strings performance calendar, and are encouraged to attend selected concerts and receptions where the instrument is being played, including the Innovators TM Behind the Scenes Concerts, which feature a Young Strings student performance.
An annual Red Violin Program Sponsor Party is held at a beautiful venue to recognize the sponsors and their generosity. In addition, a Red Violin Program Certificate will be given to sponsors upon full receipt of payment, along with a DVD copy of the film, The Red Violin.
Instruments range from the 1/4 Size (for beginning students) to fine instruments appropriate for the College Level.
